The prestigious Bargehouse on the South Bank is the venue for this years’ Rose Bruford College Graduate Exhibition and New Writing Season. Work by over 100 new graduates from the Sidcup based Theatre and Performance College will be shown across all four floors of the iconic Victorian warehouse in a free exhibition from the 5-8 June.
The exhibition includes graduate work from the School of Design Management and Theatre Arts (DMTA), which includes; Costume Production, Creative Lighting Control, Lighting Design, Performance Sound, Scenic Arts, Theatre Design and Stage Management.
In other parts of this unique Victorian warehouse, rarely opened to the public in its entirety, both of the College’s schools will be collaborating to create separate theatre space for the College’s annual ‘New Writing Season’ of three new plays and productions performed by forthcoming graduates in the School of Performance’s Acting and Actor Musicianship programmes in collaboration with DMTA graduates.
Professor Michael Early, Principal of Rose Bruford College is delighted that the diverse talent, creativity and skills of a new generation of theatre artists will be made accessible to members of the public:
“This group effort by the majority of our 16 different degree programmes demonstrates to the public the highly imaginative and deeply felt collaborative work that goes on inside a top international drama school. The industry, the public and prospective students will see Rose Bruford College’s very best efforts on display.”
As part of ‘Bruford on the South Bank at Bargehouse’, the College is also hosting Talks and Special Events with industry partners.
