About this event

Cirque du Soleil started in 1994 as a small troupe of performers in Montreal, Canada performing in circus tents. However a move into permanent theatres in Las Vegas allowed the incorporation of engineering solutions and started a trend that has redefined and recreated the modern circus as a completely new technology-led experience. This talk, will explore the challenges of mixing complex technology with an artistic performance.

Our speaker, Mark Ager, is head of TAIT:Stage Technologies Ltd. The company is a world leader in providing engineering and automation systems for live entertainment and have worked extensively with Cirque du Soleil and other creators of modern circus to produce ground breaking performances.
