Whats the point of ABTT membership ???

I should add at the end of this, to a Northern Ireland member. Having been a member this last 4 years or so as part of a venue affiliation i find myself at renewel time asking whats the point. Bar the pretty magazine nothing is open or available to me or my staff, none of the training or site visits even mildly attempts to bring stuff to northern ireland. In fact everytime i try to organise training i'm met with requests for increasing amounts of money to bring over and accomadate abtt trainers. To be honest I feel if we pay our dues and live in the UK then we should be given a fair shake at training etc. So I ask again is there any point to me renewing our membership????
