The event is ‘Be Man Kind’, a charity cabaret performance for 200 hundred people with a bar, catering and acts such as Amanda Johnson, Lili La Scala, Fay Presto and Frisky & Mannish, to name a few. Our aim is to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK as prostate cancer is an illness with a comparably low profile that kills up to 10,000 men every year.
There are dozens of students working on ‘Be Man Kind’ and so far the experience has produced a wonderful platform for young professionals in technical theatre. Guildhall students have never before attempted anything similar on this scale and I cannot stress enough the excitement and anticipation surrounding the event from all those involved.
In order to raise money for such a worthy cause, seats for the black tie event are currently £40, tables of ten are £400. This not only includes entry to the event, but complimentary wine, edible centrepieces as well as a wonderful evening of entertainment. All proceeds will be donated straight to PCUK.
As the date is fast approaching we only have a limited number of tickets left for what is sure to be a fantastic evening for charity. Whilst we appreciate that this time of year can be an incredibly busy one (particularly for our industry) we would love to offer ABTT and its members the chance of securing some of the remaining seats. This can be done by following the Eventbrite link below or directly contacting Jess Richardson (Jessica.Richardson@stu.gsmd.ac.uk).
