Company Profile
TAIT acquired Stage Technologies in 2013 with the latter becoming TAIT Stage Technologies. The acquisition was a brilliant merger of the World’s Market Leaders in the field of automation, staging and engineering for the live entertainment industry. The enhanced capacity of the groups provides the ability to offer unrivalled technology and expertise across the globe from locations on the East and West coasts of America, Macau, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, China and Australia. The increased breadth and depth of the company will provide clients with an extensive palette of cutting edge technologies, plus a comprehensive range of products including winches and staging solutions for concert touring, theatre, corporate events, film, television, kinetic architecture and permanent installations.
As a long-term promoter of stage engineering in the world of performance, TAIT Stage Technologies has evolved hand-in-hand with and been a key developer, of this exciting market. On more than one occasion, TAIT Stage Technologies has been the only theatre automation supplier capable of delivering a complex brief and has helped realise many industry firsts and defining moments in live entertainment history. With the acquisition, TAIT Stage Technologies is now a global organisation with projects in over 30 countries, all 7 continents and even outer space, encompassing a worldwide network.
TAIT Stage Technologies has been providing reliable automation solutions for entertainment venues worldwide since 1994. We are committed to providing world-class products and services, whether for a school theatre or a national opera house. Using the most up-to-date technology available in the industry, our engineers are constantly evolving and developing new hardware and software, ensuring that we have an automation solution for every need, however small or large. Our turnkey design, manufacture and installation solutions have been used by clients such as the Royal Opera House, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Royal Shakespeare Company, whilst our packaged product range enables smaller venues to benefit from the advantages of stage automation.
We are proud that our technical staff consists mainly of engineers with theatrical backgrounds. With around 180 specialist engineers, theatre technicians and support staff around the world, our clients can be sure there is someone available wherever or whenever they are needed. Our broad skills pool draws on areas of expertise from project management and mechanical engineering to software programming and electrical design, which means that clients can choose from off-the-shelf products, customised design and manufacture, or a blend of the two. We have been certified to quality standard ISO 9001 since 2004 and we only use suppliers that provide quality products every time.
With extensive training, maintenance packages, and support services, we can help to ensure technical theatre staff are kept up-to-date with new technology and systems are kept running to their highest potential performance and lifespan. Our busy rentals department also provides touring equipment across the world for live music events, corporate promotions, shows and musicals, TV studios and film shoots on location.
