Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work with the CEO and Managing Directors to promote the company.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Your main task will be to work closely with Managing Directors of Tait to promote the company through marketing developments, communications and sales activities to generate new business opportunities and expand current client business.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Be the first point of contact for incoming sales and website enquires.
  • Work closely with the Group marketing team to develop new leads and new contracts.
  • Work with the Group sales team to provide and produce high quality presentation material for potential clients.
  • Work with Projects and Rentals to provide competitive tender bid documents and accurate estimated budgets.
  • Ensure that any marketing materials that are produced are accurate and reflect the excellent work of the company.
  • Monitor competitors and advise on how the company may use the information to its advantage.
  • Develop good relationships with Commercial and Press contacts.
  • Work with the Group sales team to coordinate and manage exhibitions and events.
  • Ensure TAIT delivers projects to a high standard in order to represent the Group’s global ambition.
  • Ensure communication with clients is maintained throughout the project, reporting any problems to the General Manager and project team.
  • Ensure that any new developments are handled in a timely and proactive way.
  • Once a project is complete, be responsible for the handover to the client and ensure that the service department are fully briefed and have all the correct contacts.
  • Ensure that all marketing opportunities are fully exploited.


  • Educated to Degree level
  • Has sales experience and a track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of budget management.
