Job Title:                                             EVA Technician – Audio

Responsible to:                                 Head of Events, Video and Audio Workshops

Hours:                                                  40 over a 5 day week – Monday to Friday


The Role Summary

The EVA Technician – Audio will assist in the smooth running of the EVA Workshops within the warehouse, and help the EVA Team meet the White Light standards. The EVA Technician will have specific responsibilities for the maintenance and preparation of White Lights audio equipment, but may be asked to perform duties across all disciplines (Lighting/Audio/Video/Staging) at SW19.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The preparation and maintenance of EVA equipment (specifically audio equipment)
  • Assisting in the Dispatch of the EVA department jobs.
  • Assisting in pre-rigging EVA department jobs.
  • Liaising with Goods In to ensure the safe return of equipment to the Event stores,
  • Liaising with Dispatch and Goods in regarding all Event Sundry Service & X-Hire equipment.


Technical Skills:

  • Audio background, with experience of Digital Consoles, Speakers, Amplifiers and RF.
  • Experience of working with Yamaha, D&B, EM Acoustics and Shure equipment is desirable.
  • Previous experience of Audio Software and Firmware, including D&B Array Calc, D&B R1, Shure Wireless Workbench, Powersoft Armonia, and Networking in general would be advantageous.
  • Proven IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access applications and PowerPoint). Working knowledge of an internal e-mail system and electronic diary is essential.
  • An interest in Audio Technology, and new equipment within the industry.
