Description

ETC, a global leader in visual environment technologies, is looking for a dynamic and creative individual to cover maternity leave within its busy European marketing team.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will work together with key members of the global marketing team to produce engaging and targeted marketing material. You’ll deliver content for websites, email marketing, social media, press releases, blog posts, print adverts, brochures, flyers and online advertising. In addition to creating original content, the role will involve email and press release preparation and distribution; proofreading; customizing copy for different regions; and publishing content online. You’ll also undertake a range of activities in relation to trade shows, training sessions and dealer events.

Basic Photoshop skills and experience of email marketing software and CMS, including WordPress, would be beneficial.

This is a full-time role based at ETC Ltd’s west London office. Normal working hours are 8:30 – 5:00, Monday to Friday. It is a temporary position for up to 15 months (including handover), intended to start in May 2018.

Representative responsibilities:

• Supports the Marketing group (Marketing Communications Coordinator and Product Managers) to develop and implement tactical marketing communications projects, including: sales tools, marketing collateral, advertisements, tradeshow booths, websites, social media and training materials
• Act as liaison between product management, sales, marketing, and the creative design team
• Effectively project manage the development, design, approval, production, and distribution of marketing materials in partnership with the creative design team and Marketing Communications group at other ETC offices
• Contributes to the production and distribution of key company publications and other external and internal communications (e.g., Marketing news, newsletters, etc.) for Europe Under the direction of manager, produces stories and case studies highlighting ETC projects and installations to support the product and company strategies
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with editors of key and second-tier trade publications to enhance ETC’s image
• Writes, posts and monitors social media contributions for Europe
• Revises European content for ETC’s web site as required and assists in keeping web site current
• Monitors the effectiveness of PR efforts, including online and social media, maintains archive and media reviews
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with international dealers to support them with their communication efforts
• Assists in writing and Europeanizing content for brochures, catalogs, press releases, media ads, as well as other sales and marketing collateral as assigned by manager
• Assist in writing curriculum and training material for internal and (international) end user product training
• Works with freelance writers, product managers and market managers paying close attention to project objectives and deadlines
• Supports and participates in the marketing team’s overall objectives
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager which could include assisting with on-site local press visits, editing communications, photography; and language reference
• Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion


Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience required
• Entertainment and/or architectural lighting industry knowledge required
• 3-5 years’ experience in public relations, corporate communications, or marketing communications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven writing skills with ability to develop a wide range of communications
• Solid project management skills
• Additional language skills preferred
