COP012: FOR THE USE OF TALLESCOPES FOR WORKING AT HEIGHT IN THEATRES (2014 EDITION)

The use of a Tallescope must be justifiable, possibly in a court of law.  The Code of practice for the selection and use of temporary access equipment for working at height in theatres (COP011) published in 2011 provides assistance with the selection of the right equipment for the job.  Employers and employees must be familiar with the hierarchy for the selection of work equipment in the Work at Height Regulations 2005 but if the Tallescope is selected as a method for working at height this Code makes theatre staff aware of the risks involved  and offers a guide to the safe use of the equipment. It completely replaces Section 5 in the previous Code. COP012 is the essential reference and guide for the safe use of the Tallescope in theatre premises.
