We are delighted to announce the formation of the Stephen Joseph Association

Stephen Joseph helped to found the Association of British Theatre Technicians in 1961, and in 1964 the Society of Theatre Consultants.
His legacy and name live on though the theatres he created, the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the New Vic Theatre, and also through the newly created Stephen Joseph Association.

The general aims of the Association are:

  1. To contribute to the general promotion of the Legacy of The Theatrical Pioneer Stephen Joseph, without restriction to race, age, gender and religion.
  2. To organise and engage in artistic and creative performances, programmes and events that further the aim of of the association.
  3. To undertake research and publication of material in hard copy or digital formats.
  4. To contribute to and maintain the website.
  5. To apply for and raise funds as deemed necessary.
