ABTT Events, Seminars and Discussions:
February 2021

Dear <<First Name>>,

The ABTT is busier than ever as we head towards the second month of 2021 (already!).

It has been a strange start to the year, but the ABTT is embracing online activities and events and wanted to contact you to let you know what we are up to in the coming month and how you can get involved!

Below you will find details on the upcoming events and you will see that the ABTT is continuing to offer seminars, discussions and networking events free of charge to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from the continued discussions.

If you are able, the ABTT would appreciate your support in renewing your ABTT Membership for 2021 (if you have not done so already) or making a donation - all funds directly enable us to continue with our charitable works. There are many flexible payment options available when renewing so please do contact us, or look on the ABTT Website if you would like further information.

We look forward to "seeing" you at the upcoming events and thank you for your ongoing participation and support of the ABTT!

Kind regards,
The ABTT Team

Discussion: How to Cultivate a Culture of Well-being in the Workplace?

As part of National "Time to Talk Day” we are asking “How can we create a better culture of nurturing & well-being in the work place?" Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet too many people are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless because of this. Time to Talk Day encourages everyone to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives.

A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference.

We know that the more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down so please join the ABTT on the 4th February to help facilitate this conversation. This will be an interactive session and open discussion so tickets are limited.

We will be joined by Personal Development Coach, Trainer and Mental Health First Aider Pat O'Toole who will be helping to share best practice and talking about how you can apply Mental Health First Aid Training in the work place effectively.

We will also be joined by Mig Burgess who is a, "lifelong mental health patient and advocate for awareness." bringing her perspective as a mental health sufferer.

Please be aware that as this is a discussion, not a seminar, tickets will be limited.

ABTT Mental Health and Well-being:
Personal Development/ Peer Support Group

During February and March, the ABTT will be offering two sessions with a trained group facilitator/therapist to help anyone who might be feeling isolated in their experiences and who wants to explore, check out, and connect with others who might share their feelings.
The ABTT have partnered with Katerina Georgiou - a counsellor and psychotherapist seeing clients in a GP surgery and private practice, to deliver and facilitate these sessions.

These contained and confidential sessions will have a limited number of participants and a
lthough not group therapy, these groups sometimes have a therapeutic feel. Participants should be aware that difficult feelings might come up for them, which there will be space for them to voice and work through.

The ABTT are running these sessions to provide a supportive space in which participants can explore personal issues alongside other people who want to understand themselves better. They are not advice based, so they wouldn't be for people seeking direct practical tips or advice, although members of the group may have supportive tips for each other.

If you might be interested in taking part, please contact office@abtt.org.uk for more information on how to apply.
The ABTT collates a wide variety of events for its members which can be found on the ABTT Calendar. Find out what's coming up soon by clicking below.
