We create performances that catalyse debate and are priced accessibly for our audiences, giving 10% of tickets away to those who experience barriers to engaging with the arts. About the role

The Lighting Technician, working alongside the Deputy Head of Lighting, Head of Lighting, and wider Production department, is responsible for the delivery of lighting aspects of Young Vic productions and related projects. You will operate lighting and video in the performance spaces, work with creative teams and technical staff to realise lighting and sound designs, and carry out general maintenance of lighting equipment. We are looking for someone who has some experience of the operation and maintenance of theatrical lighting equipment and infrastructure, with a working knowledge of ETC EOS/ION lighting consoles and networks.

We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice. We are particularly keen to hear from Black and Global Majority people, and candidates who self-identify as disabled. All candidates who self-identify as disabled who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria will be invited for interview. The Young Vic is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.
