Job Title: Production Technician
Responsible to: Production and Technical Director
Purpose of role: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Production Technician with a strong interest in sound, lighting, and construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of theatre productions, ensuring high-quality performances and maintaining the theatre’s technical equipment and facilities.

Qualities:
•Proficiency with sound and lighting equipment, including consoles, microphones, speakers, and lighting fixtures.
•Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
•Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, as required by the production schedule.
•A strong interest in producing Theatre.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Degree or certification in technical theatre, sound engineering, or a related field.
•Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a theatre environment.

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
•Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
•Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Responsibilities
Sound Engineering:
•Set up, operate, and maintain sound equipment for rehearsals and performances.
•Have a basic knowledge Of Qlab
•Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues during performances.

Lighting:
•Operate ETC lighting consoles.
•Perform basic lighting tasks such as cutting Gel and fitting gobos
•Maintain and repair lighting fixtures and equipment.

Set Construction and Maintenance:
•Assist in the construction, installation, and dismantling of sets and scenery.
•Ensure sets are safe, functional, and meet design specifications.
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on set pieces and props.

General Technical Support:
•Collaborate with designers, and other technical staff to achieve production goals.
•Assist with rigging, stage management, and other technical tasks as needed.
•Maintain an organized and safe working environment in all technical areas.
