Tamykha started her career as a Technical Theatre Apprentice at New Wimbledon Theatre after which she was appointed the role of Theatre Technician. She then worked at National Theatre as a Lighting Technician before becoming a freelancer working at venues such as The Coliseum, Young Vic, Royal Court Theatre, Perth Theatre, Bridge Theatre, Trafalgar Studios, Bristol Old Vic, and Somerset House.
She was first introduced to ABTT during her apprenticeship and successfully completed an ABTT Bronze Award which was when she first became an ABTT member. She then became a Young Associate Representative. Tamykha’s goals were to introduce the ABTT to students and young professionals, to voice suggestions, opinions and/or concerns to other members of council based on her experience and knowledge to help improve the charities work.
The ABTT Council think it very important that the rapidly growing number of Young and Student Associates have a voice in Council and are able to contribute to the work that the Council undertakes. To this end the Council invite applications from any Young Associates or Student Associates who would like to generally represent the interests, experiences, opinions and concerns of those with the same membership as themselves.
