The MHFA England Mental Health Skills for Managers course (delivered online over one half day)was developed by workplace mental health experts, this training promotes mental health awareness and gives managers the skills and confidence to have mental health conversations.
Managers who are able to support the mental health of their teams will encourage employees to thrive, increasing talent retention. Providing this training to everyone with people management responsibilities will ensure a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing across teams and departments, promoting healthy performance throughout your whole organisation.
This half day course in Mental Health Skills for Managers, teaches you how to:
– Identify if an employee may be experiencing mental health issues
– Feel confident having open conversations about mental health with their team members
– Appropriately signpost to available support and know where to go for support and guidance for themselves
– Role model good self-care practice, inspiring their teams to look after their own mental health and wellbeing
Format
This course is available online as a half day, 4 hour session which will be delivered for up to 12 candidates so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn. Or is available as a half day in-venue course delivered face-to-face for up to 16 candidates so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn. Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.
