FLYS TECHNICIAN

Committed to producing high quality work that informs, excites and entertains, Opera North is looking for an experienced and well-motivated individual to fill the role of Fly’s Technician.

The successful candidate will have extensive counterweight fly’s and rigging experience. Experience of automated flying systems would be an advantage, but training will be provided. You will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise under pressure. You will primarily be involved in the flying, rigging and building of scenery, and the flying of lighting, sound, and AV equipment for productions in rehearsal studios, mainstages, and on tour. Between theatre seasons you will undertake the maintenance of flying and rigging equipment and any other duties as required. Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety at work is essential.

Salary: £29,131.56 per annum. Overtime is applicable to this post.
