Nominations for ABTT Council Elections are now open, all nominations must be returned to the ABTT Office before the 15th June 2026 to be eligible.

Please note that only FULL MEMBERS, HONORARY MEMBERS & FELLOWS of the ABTT are eligible to nominate persons for election to Council and only  FULL MEMBERS, HONORARY MEMBERS & FELLOWS are eligible for nomination.  A list of their names may be found here.

The Council, with eleven elected members, is the governing body of the ABTT.  Council members are Directors of the Company and Trustees of the Charity.

Trustee-Directors serving at the end of 2025 were as follows:

• Alexander Cann (re-appointed 2023)
• Mark Dakin ( appointed 2024)
• Kate Ellis (appointed 2025)
• David Evans (appointed 2023)
• Anette Ollerearnshaw (appointed 2023)
• Mathew Smethurst Evans (appointed 2023)
• Suzy Somerville (appointed 2023)
• Ben Stephen (re -appointed 2024)
• Anton Woodward OBE (re-appointed 2023)

Six vacancies will occur at the time of the next AGM through the retirement by rotation of the following members of Council who will have completed their current three-year term of office: Alexander Cann, David Evans, Anette Ollerearnshaw, Mathew Smethurst Evans, Suzy Somerville and Anton Woodward OBE.

David Evans, Anette Ollerearnshaw, Mathew Smethurst Evans and Suzy Somerville have served one three-year term and are eligible for nomination.
Alexander Cann and Anton Woodward OBE have served for two consecutive three-year terms and are not eligible for nomination in the next election. 

Full Members of the ABTT are invited to send in nominations for candidates to be put forward for election. If more than two nominations are received, there will be an election by ballot. The information given on the nomination paper will be included in the ballot notice.
