Call to action: Neurodivergent Theatre Professionals Volunteers wanted
25 March 2026
The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are looking for neurodivergent theatre professionals to take part in a new short film project exploring the many ways people work, think, and thrive within the theatre industry.
The project will involve visiting participants in their professional working environments to film and record them as they carry out aspects of their role.
Each participant will also take part in a very short structured interview discussing the practical strategies, adaptations, and approaches they use to support their success in the industry.
They are particularly keen to hear from professionals who identify as neurodivergent (including but not limited to ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other cognitive differences). Our aim is to feature five professionals at different stages of their careers, representing a range of cognitive styles and ways of processing information within theatre production and performance.
The completed short film will become a training resource, helping to build greater understanding of reasonable adjustments and inclusive working practices that support students studying production. It will also contribute to Fair Access and recruitment initiatives, showcasing the inclusive and adaptive nature of professional production theatre.
