Electronics Fundamentals 1 & 2 (Two day CPD Course)

What does the course cover?

Electronics Fundamentals 1:

This course teaches basic electronic theory and soldering skills, aimed specifically at the entertainment industry. The course covers passive components, basic semiconductor components as well as some simple circuits using these components. Some common power components and fuses will also be covered.
Topics covered: Kirchoff’s Laws, AC/DC, power, energy, Ohm’s Law, resistor networks, capacitor networks, inductors, transformers, switches and electronic switches, potential divider circuits, passive filters, impedance, diodes & LEDs, AC rectification, fuses, MCBs, RCDs, soldering.

Electronics Fundamentals 2:

This course builds on the topics covered in part 1. More complex semiconductor components will be covered and circuits using these components, as well as some discussion of sensors and actuators. Boolean logic will be covered, and how this can be applied to practical circuits. Topics covered: sensors and actuators, transistors, op-amps, 555 timers, microprocessors and development boards, power supplies, analogue and digitals electronics, Boolean logic.
