Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Chief LX is a leadership role within the Technical Department, responsible for the delivery and oversight of all stage lighting and associated electrical systems across Cork Opera House. The role ensures the highest technical standards while enabling maximum flexibility in how Cork Opera House is used across its diverse programme.

Given the scale and variety of in-house productions and touring performances, the Chief LX must lead, manage and adapt lighting provision to meet the demands of a wide range of artistic and commercial events. The position also supports the Technical Manager in ensuring the efficient, safe and effective technical operation of the venue overall.
