Solutions On Stage (SOS) is a leading provider of inspection, compliance, and technical services for theatres, education, and live performance venues across the UK.

We are seeking a Mechanical Compliance Manager to join our Technical Department and take a central role in maintaining the standards of mechanical inspection, remedial, and installation work delivered onsite nationwide.

This role combines hands-on inspection work with technical leadership and business support. You will act as a mechanical authority within SOS, providing compliance sign-off under LOLER, PUWER and Work at Height, while also supporting colleagues across quoting, project planning, and technical decision-making.

We recognise that mechanical compliance in venues covers a wide range of systems. We welcome applicants with strong experience in either traditional theatre rigging systems (flying systems, truss, winches, lighting bars) or more complex venue machinery (pit lifts, safety curtains, powered stage machinery). We actively support ongoing professional development and will provide additional training where required.
Strong vocational experience is valued equally alongside formal qualifications.
