Steeldeck Rentals has been building the stages, platforms, and structures that the UK’s biggest productions rely on for over 30 years. We work across theatre, live music, TV & film, and major events — and we’re growing. We’re now looking for a Hire & Events Coordinator to join our Manchester team and grow with us.

This isn’t a typical admin role. Yes, there’s an office element — but you’ll also be out on site, working directly alongside our Manchester MD, learning the industry from someone who knows it inside out. If you’re ambitious, practical, and want to build a real career in live events, this is the job to do it in.

What You’ll Be Doing

In the office:

• Handling hire enquiries, quotes, and bookings for staging and event equipment
• Keeping jobs moving — paperwork, pick lists, delivery notes, invoices
• Being the friendly, knowledgeable voice clients want to speak to
• Coordinating across warehouse, operations, and accounts to make sure every job goes smoothly

Out on site:

• Joining our MD on live events and site visits
• Getting hands-on with staging systems, installations, and client liaison
• Learning how the best in the business operate under pressure
• Building the experience and confidence to take on more responsibility over time

What We’re Looking For

• Organised, adaptable, and great with people
• Confident communicator — phone, email, and face to face
• Comfortable with Excel and general office tools; rental software experience a bonus
• Some background in hire, events, or production is ideal but not essential — attitude matters more
• Physically comfortable on site and happy to get stuck in

Salary: £26,000–£28,000 pa
Location: Manchester (office-based with regular site work)
Hours: Full-time, 8am–4.30pm Monday–Friday
