Job description
Aviva Studios is a multi-purpose, highly flexible venue with two main performance areas, The Warehouse and Hall, that can be reconfigured into various formats with a range of capacities.
We are recruiting for 3 production manager roles to lead and/or oversee the planning and delivery of a variety of projects across Factory International’s programs. They will ensure the effective delivery of all technical, production and logistical aspects of each project – safely, to schedule, within budget and to the highest possible technical standards.
Production Manager responsibilities include-
– Working closely with the commercial events or creative teams to manage and facilitate the delivery of all the physical elements of commercial events. This will include liaising, negotiation and management with key suppliers and delivery partners
– To work with internal Factory International departments, external suppliers, and clients to ensure consistent and high-quality levels of service to all incoming artists and event organisers and to develop and foster relationships to ensure repeat business
– Working together with the Technical Department Heads to schedule technical personnel as required to install operate and de-install the physical elements of the project
– Writing risk assessments and method statements for the production and collating risk assessments from specialist suppliers/contractors if appropriate; ensuring projects are compliant in their delivery
Production Manager person specification include
ESSENTIAL
– Up to date knowledge of technical production (e.g., lighting, sound, video, rigging, set construction, wardrobe etc), or relevant and proven knowledge from equivalent fields.
– Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience of working with and leading teams
– Strong organisational and planning skills with proven experience of communicating technical requirements to production colleagues and other non-technical stakeholders
– Up to date knowledge of current trends in technical production (e.g., lighting, sound, video, rigging, set construction, wardrobe etc)
– Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, guidance and practical implementation
DESIRABLE
– Experience of working with a commercial events team
– IOSH qualification
– IPAF 3a&3b telehandler and forks accreditation
– Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent
