The role…

His Majesty’s Theatre is home to the renowned Phantom of the Opera, one of London’s longest running musicals – truly a staple in London’s West End!

We’re currently looking for a proactive and engaged Electrics Production Technician to join the team and facilitate the smooth and safe running of the show.

What you’ll be doing…

You will be required to cover the following roles during Rehearsals and Performances:

– Follow Spot Operator
– Follow Me Operator
– Stage LX

– You’ll be working on all shows, and technical rehearsals of Phantom of the Opera.
– As part of the Production Technician team, you will be prepping the show each day and helping to conduct safety checks.
– Working closely with the visiting company and its Stage Management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show.
– Working as part of a team to maintain a professional work environment, where performers, technicians and audience members are safe.
– Problem solving during live performances.
– Conducting maintenance of the show, so it always looks its best.
– Some roles may require supervisory responsibilities.
– Ad hoc project work as directed by the Heads of Department.
– Manual handling is necessary in these roles and training will be provided.

– Technical theatre experience from another West End or number one touring venue is desirable for some positions, as are electrical qualifications and an understanding of theatre health and safety.
– Happy to work evenings and weekends.

Hours: 40 hours per week contract

Salary: SOLT / BECTU Grade 4 of £16.73ph + show bonus
