First in. Last out.

We build the stuff people sit on, stand on and rely on. Seating for the National Theatre. Stages at Glastonbury. Structures for the BBC, ITV, ExCeL, Pinewood and the Royal Albert Hall. If it needs to go up fast, hold firm and come down clean, there is a good chance it is ours.

We are looking for a Project Manager to run jobs from first enquiry to last truck out. You will own the client relationship, design the structure, price it, plan it and lead the crew who build it. It is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one.

The job:

• Be the client’s first call. Turn briefs into buildable, safe designs and quotes covering equipment, transport and crew.
• Carry out site surveys and produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Plan delivery with our Operations, Warehouse, Crew and Driving teams so every job lands on time, on budget and safely.
• Lead on-site crews: schedule the work, look after their welfare and keep Health and Safety standards high.
• Spot opportunities to grow accounts and put new kit and services in front of clients.

You:

• Calm under pressure and unfazed by last-minute changes.
• A clear communicator who clients trust and crews want to work for.
• Organised enough to run several live jobs at once without dropping the detail.
• Willing to travel and stay away when the event demands it.
• Ideally with a background in theatre, film, TV or events, with some knowledge of temporary structures and current H&S regulations. We will train the right person on the rest.

Bonus points for:

• Steeldeck platforms or other temporary demountable structure experience.
• AutoCAD drawing ability and reading client or venue drawings.
• ABTT Technical Standards or the IStructE guide to Temporary Demountable Structures knowledge.
• Current RMS or similar asset management software.
• Basic scenic construction or carpentry.
• A full UK driving licence.

The deal:

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum depending on experience, plus overtime.

Holiday: 25 days’ plus bank holidays.

Location: Based at our South Bermondsey depot (Unit 58, T. Marchant Estate, 42-72 Verney Road, London SE16 3DH).

Hours: Full-time, 8am–4.30pm Monday–Friday, with evening and weekend work required, especially over the summer.
