Job Description

The Senior Venue Technician plays a key role in the successful delivery of all technical operations across King’s Head Theatre. Acting as the operational lead within the Technical Department, the Senior Venue Technician will oversee the day-to-day delivery of productions, events and hires, including rehearsals and get ins/outs, ensuring the highest standards of technical presentation, customer service and health and safety.

Working closely with the Technical Manager and Production Coordinator, and supported by the Venue Technicians, the Senior Venue Technician will supervise the technical team, support in building and equipment maintenance, support production planning and attend production meetings, and act as the principal technical contact for visiting companies during the delivery of productions once in the venue. The role will deputise for the Technical Manager where required as well as lead on Show Calls as the Duty Technician where required.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional production quality and a strong understanding of technical theatre operations.
