Technical Theatre & Stage Management Lecturer
The Arden School of Theatre is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Multi Disciplined Technical Theatre Lecturer to join our team on a permanent, part-time (17.5 hours per week) basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of the next generation of theatre professionals in a creative, student-focused environment, and to be a part of our fastly growing Technical Theatre & Stage Management Course. We are looking for a multi disciplined lecturer but with a desirable focus on our Production Management, Health and Safety and Scenic Construction modules throughout L4-L6. This includes supervising the students when working on productions in Production Management and in the Scenic Workshop, but may be asked to cover some lecturing in other departments including SND or LX depending on skills and experience. You’ll play a key role in supporting students specialising in production and technical disciplines.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree
- Current and valid industry specialism
- Certificate of education or PGCE
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
- Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
- Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
- Working as a team
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Meet delivery targets and plans
- Accurate and timely reports and records
- Positive contribution to planning processes
- Proven track record of positive student satisfaction
