Job Description
To support the Warehouse Manager with the preparation, maintenance, and organisation of event equipment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in sound, lighting, or AV (e.g. theatre, holiday parks, student productions) who wants to build a career in live events.
This is predominantly a warehouse based role, focused on prepping and de prepping kit, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse. There is also the opportunity—should it arise and depending on skills and experience—for the successful candidate to support onsite work.
Key Responsibilities – Warehouse Operations
• Prepare, check, and pack equipment as needed.
• De prepping returned equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned, tested, and safely re stored ready for future use.
• Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe warehouse environment, supporting efficient day to day operations.
• Assist with stock control, labelling, storage systems, and regular equipment checks.
• Carry out basic equipment maintenance, testing, and first line fault identification.
• Support deliveries and collections, including loading/unloading vehicles and driving to sites if and as required.
• Provide onsite event support when needed, working alongside experienced technicians as skills and confidence develop.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider technical team to support smooth event preparation and delivery.
• Follow company processes, health & safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
Development & Progression – Service & Installation Support (As Skills Grow)
As the Warehouse Technician develops in the role, there may be opportunities to assist the Service & Installation team, working alongside and under the guidance of the Service Manager.
Support to include:
• Assisting with basic service visits, installation preparations, and on site support tasks, appropriate to experience and ability.
• Learn the fundamentals of fault finding, first and second fix work, and installation processes within live environments.
• Assist with equipment preparation, on site setup support, and post job equipment checks for service and installation projects.
• Gain exposure to industry best practices, client facing work, and professional installation standards.
• Gradually build the knowledge and confidence required to work independently over time, broadening technical skills across warehouse, live events, and service/install disciplines.
This progression will be skills led and business led, with training, mentoring, and responsibility increasing as competence and confidence grow
