Ken’s Network set up in memory of Ken Bennett-Hunter

29 November 2022

Ken's Network is a Not-for-Profit organization set up in memory of Ken Bennett-Hunter to continue his support for offstage roles in the performing arts. A small group of Ken’s friends and colleagues from the worlds of theatre and music came together to create this informal Network. The group wish to keep Ken’s memory alive and to do so by furthering the work of mentoring which was so close to his heart.

Ken’s Network is very conscious of the current pressures on those entering and working in backstage and technical roles in theatre and music. The aim is to be available by providing a sounding board or offering their experience. So far, the group have been able to support beneficiaries with guidance on CVs and job-finding. Feedback has been excellent, including:

“The Core Team of Ken’s Network covers a wide breadth of expertise across all areas of theatre production. They have ability to drill down to the crux of an issue and their advice is always apposite and inspirational.”

The group don’t have a ‘magic bullet’ to solve major problems, but feel they do have a network of people who want to rally round. Ken was many things, and supportive was not the least of them. The group very much want to keep that spirit alive and ongoing.
