James Owen is Head of People Development at LW Theatres, where he leads learning and development, leadership and management development, apprenticeships, onboarding, and early career programmes across the organisation. He is passionate about creating opportunities for people to learn, develop and thrive throughout their careers, with a particular focus on building capability, supporting future talent, and creating inclusive workplace cultures.
Alongside his role at LW Theatres, James serves as Chair for Employers of the ABTT Apprenticeship Network, helping to strengthen collaboration between employers across the theatre and live entertainment sector. Through the network, he supports the development and promotion of apprenticeships, shares best practice, and advocates for high-quality pathways that help attract, develop and retain the next generation of talent within the industry.
