Based in the UK, Solutions on Stage (SOS) is an industry-leading compliance company for performance venues. With a particular focus on the theatre, education and live entertainment sectors, we offer specialist technical support to ensure your space is not only safe to use but achieving its full potential. Having spent several years working within the theatre industry, our founders Darren Williams and Gareth Matchwick saw first-hand how challenging it was for venues to source help when dealing with technical issues; particularly those pertaining to safety and adhering to legal requirements. They realised what was needed was a trusted company whose work encompassed the full range of technical services. They would need – a company who had the expertise and experience to deal with often complex regulations and tight timescales. As such, Solutions On Stage was formed – and has been providing clients with exactly this ever since. At the core of our business is our inspection work. We want to be the single point of call for our clients when it comes to their compliance needs and reduce the complexity of this process. It is then through getting to know a venue and understanding its requirements that we are able to offer our additional services, including maintenance work, repair, training and installations. As an organisation who believes in harnessing long-term relationships with our customers, we ultimately want to be the ones who you approach with all of your technical needs; overseeing the life cycle of your venue. Inspection and Testing
With decades of experience, we have the specialist knowledge to test equipment such as fixed wires and PAT, identifying issues and providing reports with next steps for Mechanical, Access Equipment and PPE. We also advise on what should be tested and how often and can create a cost-effective plan that keeps your venue compliant and safe.
Maintenance
Given the inevitable wear and tear of equipment over time, our experienced engineers are able to service and maintain a huge range of lighting and sound equipment, as well as rectify faults associated within an installation.We provide on-site maintenance and repair and can create a schedule for on-going maintenance.
Installations
From upgrading existing fixtures through to delivering a brand-new AV and lighting system, our installation work can transform any performance space with the latest technology. Led by our expert team, we work closely with each client to understand their requirements and propose a solution that meets your timescales, budget and needs.
Training
Whilst it’s important to ensure you’re equipped with the latest technology, such equipment can only achieve its full potential if used correctly. Our training courses ensure you know how to confidently handle and operate your in-house equipment, as well as to allow you to keep up-to-date with the latest health and safety standards.
