Company Profile

For Theatreplan, performance is everything.

We are a theatre design, and technical theatre consultancy, helping clients create amazing spaces for performance, around the world.

Origins

Theatreplan was founded over 30 years ago by one of the world’s first, and leading theatre consultants, Richard Brett. His legacy continues to guide our commitment to excellence and innovation in theatre design and technology.

What we do

We provide the complete range of theatre planning and leading-edge technical design services for clients. We work with some of the world’s leading performance venues but are just as excited by helping clients create beautiful, bespoke spaces for performance in schools, universities and lyric theatres, or brand-new theatres. We can provide expert advice in upgrading theatres with important heritage significance.

Our approach

Your vision, for your performance space, provides the focus and impetus for our pioneering design work.

We will truly collaborate with you to understand your vision. We listen carefully so we understand what you really want and need from your new space. We will be honest with you about what we think is achievable and the best ways to go about delivering your vision. We pride ourselves on our ability to suggest new ideas, and ways of seeing, that may not have been considered before.

Why choose Theatreplan

We have unparalleled experience and expertise, designing award winning performing arts venues, and re-imagining existing spaces, around the world. Our specialist theatre planners, auditorium designers, stage engineers, and lighting, sound, video and communications consultants have gained their knowledge and expertise through years of experience working at the highest levels, with some of the world’s leading theatres.

We understand how directors, performers and technicians think and what they need to make their performances thrill, excite and move audiences.

We have an absolute commitment to ensuring client satisfaction, together with an engaging, fun and genuinely collaborative approach to the creative process.

Critically, we have a long-standing reputation for delivering what we promise.
