Welcome to our new website!

5 November 2019

If you’ve visited abtt.org.uk in the last week, you'll have noticed that things are looking very different. We’ve launched our new website and we’re excited to introduce our new digital home and run you through some of the exciting new features that we’ve added.

So, what’s new?

As well as a fresh new look; the updated site includes a mobile-friendly platform and a better experience for mobile, tablet and desktop users. We’ve also improved the structure, so you’ll find what you’re looking for more easily.

Here are a few of the key changes;

Browse your way

Making our website better than before wasn’t just about making it look nicer, but also making it easier to find what you need.

You can now search for Training and Events by:

Date
Course Name
Event Type

You can search the latest Industry jobs by:

Most recently added
Job Type

And Company’s and Theatre’s can now submit their job adverts through to the ABTT online!

You can browse our FAQ section:

To see the most asked questions so you can easily find what you’re looking for; whether you’re looking for information on inspecting suspended plaster ceiling or using a tallescope with someone in the basket!

Helping you out behind the scenes

Got an upcoming show but unsure of the stage dimensions?

You can see our Theatre Listings page for all the technical details for lots of Theatres around the UK. You can even add your own Theatre or event space if you don’t see it listed!

Worried about a Health and Safety risk an need advice?

We offer an ABTT helpline for members which you can call Monday- Friday to get a direct response to your problem.

Have a Technical Query right before a show?

With the ABTT Technical resources pages offering a score of standards, guidance and advice aim to help you find the answer as quickly as possible.

Access

We want to make your visit and easy and worry-free as possible. Our site now works with screen readers and alt-text has been added to images.

Want to get involved?

Looking to develop your interest in a specific side of the Industry? Maybe you’re wanting to get more involved in what we do by representing our Young and Student Members? Or maybe you’re a long-standing technician who wants to give back to the Industry by imparting your knowledge?

We’ve broken down our Get Involved section to make it much easier for you to find ways to connect with us.

Feedback

Alongside these big and brilliant things, there’s a whole host of smaller but impactful changes that we hope will make our website more welcoming and easier to use.

We hope you like the changes, and if you have any feedback, we’d love to hear from you, office@abtt.org.uk

Thanks and happy exploring!
