Role: Head of Lighting & Sound
Contract Term: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week, requires evening and weekend work although employees are supported and encouraged to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
Responsible to: Technical Director
Salary Package: £37,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) and a contribution towards relocation expenses.
Annual Leave: 31 days including all bank holidays.

We are delighted to announce that an opportunity has arisen to join the technical team at Malvern Theatres in the role of Head of Lighting & Sound. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the Lighting & Sound department within the Malvern Theatres complex and should have previous experience in a similar receiving/touring venue. Whilst working closely with the Technical Director the Head of Lighting & Sound will also work alongside the Head of Stage, sharing the responsibility of managing all staff during the get-in and get-out for each show.
Situated at the foot of the Malvern Hills, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Malvern Theatres is home to the Festival Theatre, Forum Theatre, Studio One and Malvern Cinema. With a town central location and good commuting links, Malvern Theatres attracts visitors from across the three local counties and further afield.
Now is an exciting time to join the team at Malvern Theatres with the commencement of our £20 million Levelling Up project, which will make us one of the largest arts centres in the UK. As part of the project the Head of Lighting & Sound will be involved with specifying equipment and liaising with the installers on how the different systems integrate with the existing building as well as the usual schedule of shows.
