Job Description

Purpose of the Role
You’ll work alongside our Head of Set Electrics and freelance team, learning how to build and install practical lighting and effects into stage scenery. You’ll develop skills in wiring, soldering, LED systems, DMX/ArtNet/sACN control, and safe workshop practices; gaining real hands-on experience with exciting projects.

This role is perfect for someone who loves making things, has an interest in electrics and creative production, and wants to build a career in a hands on and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the wiring, testing, and installation of set electrics.
Learn how to work with LED tape, drivers, DMX systems, and power supplies.
Support the preparation, maintenance, and organisation of workshop tools and stock.
Work safely under supervision, following best practices and safety procedures.
Collaborate with the wider workshop team to help bring scenic builds to life.

About You
Essential:
A genuine interest in electrics, lighting, and making things work.
Practical, hands on, logical, and keen to learn new skills.
Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions carefully.
Enjoys teamwork and contributing to creative projects.

Desirable:
Experience with electrical work in a theatre setting.
Basic understanding of wiring or circuits.
Soldering experience.
Working Hours
38 hours per week (Mon–Thu 8am–4:45pm, Fri 8am–1pm), with occasional paid overtime where required.
